DF Software Technical Sharing Session with Airost Team UTM

Mr. Patrick, the R&D Software Department Manager from DF Automation and Robotics have conducted a technical sharing session with the title “Developing Autonomous Mobile Robot using ROS’. The session was attended by undergraduate and graduate students from Airost Team UTM. It’s opened for the invited participants from Airost team UTM, covering the topics include ROS, mobile robot software framework, web frameworks, web development and etc.

Patrick is the speaker of the session, sharing his experience in developing AMR using ROS.

The session was held online and participated by Undergraduate and Graduate students from Airost Team UTM

Showcasing the latest features in Navwiz which allow user to control and monitor DF AMRs remotely regardless of the setup location.

Data logging and reporting is one of the user’s favourite features in Navwiz which able to help user to analysis the AMR’s performance

 

Besides of the sharing of technical knowledge, Mr Patrick have also shared his experience and know-how on how to become a good programmer to the participants. Starting as a software developer back in university and today as a software technical lead in DF R&D Department, Mr Patrick generously shared his tips and suggestion to the younger generation, with the hope that they can grow and improve to become a successful software developer one day.
 
“It is my pleasure to share my knowledge and experience with the team. I can feel that the team is very young and passionate, and Im looking forward to see more IoT and Robotics projects from them.” Mr Patrick commented after the session. Mr Patrick would also like to thank UTM Airost Team for organising such event, and would like to express his gratitude to the participants for involving actively in the session
 
The session received numerous positive feedback from the participants and the organisers are looking for organising the session again in near future for more participants.
